Cannabis Appellations and the Yuba: Growing Green for 2019

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

As cannabis cultivation enters a new era in California, cannabis connoisseurs are maturing right along with the industry. With this maturation comes a new movement to designate strains of cannabis based on their origin in order to protect consumers and sellers. This process may be an opportunity for this designation to also protect Wild and Scenic watersheds. Best Management Practices, implemented to protect watersheds, may be established as a requirement for a watershed-based appellation. This workshop will focus on the California appellations program and how the Yuba watershed could be a model for this work.
